DigESwitch Matrix model
Inside a 2U x 18" ProtoBox, one of the lowest-profile models available, you'll find one of Digalog's most popular offerings. DigESwitch is a family of versatile, low-cost Ethernet-controlled switching solutions suitable for a wide spectrum of test, control, and data acquisition applications. Over a dozen models are available, in both single-ended (matrix) and differential configurations as shown in the table below.
Housed in a space-saving 19" rack-mount chassis, DigESwitch excels at simplifying a system's switching requirements while minimizing the impact on other components.
For example, no longer are designers of PXI/PXIe, cPCI, VXI or other modular instrumentation systems faced with the trade-off of dividing card slots among critical signal source or measurement resources versus needed switching capacity. Nor do need expensive dedicated communications bus cards and cables.
DigESwitch's benefits include:
High Switching Density: Up to 1600 matrix or 250 independent two-input differential channels can be assembled into less that 18 vertical inches of a standard 19" rack.
Versatility: Matrix models include four or eight buses with isolation relays which facilitate expansion and can dramatically simplify fixture wiring requirements. Differential models offer A, B, AB, and disconnect modes. A Soft Front Panel lets you manually operate each individual channel and bus connection on-screen for ease and convenience during test development and debug.
Ethernet 10/100BaseT Communication: No expensive cables or specialized bus interface cards to buy. Low-cost COTS (Commercial Off-the-Shelf) network components let you put DigESwitch to work wherever you need it.
Support for Industry-Standard software components and environments: Direct I/O, IVI-C, and National Instruments Switch Executive(tm) support ensure compatibility with today's most efficient programming techniques.
